The Alchemy
Rooted in substance.
A closer look at each element—its origin, its character, and the role it plays in the weave of Seiðr Hus.
The Essences
Each essential oil is chosen for more than scent. These are plant allies with intent—skin-loving, spirit-lifting, boundary-clearing. From grounding sandalwood to heart-opening rose, every drop carries weight and history. Here’s what breathes inside each blend.
The Carriers
These are the oils that carry it all. Rich, raw, and cold-pressed from nature’s own. They’re the backbone of every blend — delivering nutrients, locking in moisture, and helping scent linger like a memory.
The Plants
Plants are the living heart of Seiðr Hus. Fresh or dried, steeped or pressed, they carry both medicine and myth. Every leaf, petal, and root has a role—whether to soothe, protect, spark, or ground.
The Distillates
Distillates hold the quietest voice of the plant—the water-soluble notes left after fire, water, and patience. Gentle on skin, grounding in ritual, they soften and balance sharper oils with calm clarity.
The Binders
Binders are the quiet alchemists—the stabilizers that hold blends steady and give texture its shape. Without them, there’s no glide, no hold, no ritual worth keeping.
The Cleansers
Cleansers cut through dirt, oil, and buildup but keep skin in balance. Gentle surfactants and soaps that do the dirty work while keeping ritual soft.
The Elements
Elements are the base matter—the neutral grounds, the simple carriers of structure. They may not draw notice, but they give form, flow, and burn to ritual itself—quiet power beneath the spell.
The Guardians
Guardians don’t add scent or shine—they hold the line. Preserving freshness, extending life, and shielding your blends from what creeps in unseen.
The Flame
Seiðr Hus candles are vessels of transformation—wax, wick, and will. Each one hand-poured and charged with essential oils to burn with purpose, whether for atmosphere or arcana. Plant-born light made to shift the air, stir the shadow, and steady the soul.
The Smoke
Each Seiðr Hus incense begins raw—blank joss or charcoal cones soaked in essential oils, then left to rest and dry at their own pace. Days pass, scent binds to smoke. When lit, the burn is slow and even, the air thick with what was steeped in. This is time turned fragrant.
